of the resources expected for the Social Fund in 2026 already have a defined

allocation. Also, the fund currently has R$63.3bn for 2026, of which R$60.0bn has
already been committed. Accordingly, the largest share of resources is
concentrated in education, at R$28.4bn, while R$21.0bn is allocated to MCMV and
R$10.2bn is destined for a category that includes government financing programs.
The study was requested amid discussions over the source of funds that could be
used to finance a potential renegotiation of agribusiness debt, with an estimated
fiscal impact of R$139.8bn over 13 years. Lastly, the Chamber president had
signaled that the proposal would be voted on after the parliamentary recess, which
starts on July 18, but agribusiness lawmakers want to accelerate the vote to the
coming days to allow rural producers to access the Plano Safra, which will be
