Verizon – Acquires Carolina West Wireless network

Verizon has agreed to acquire the wireless network assets of Carolina West Wireless

(CCW), a regional carrier serving rural North Carolina, with CCW discontinuing all

wireless services—including postpaid, Bark Mobile prepaid, and Clearstream FWA—by

30th September 2026. CCW customers are encouraged to migrate to Verizon, which will

offer a $15/month account credit for 36 months on select unlimited plans to those switching

before the cutoff date. Most CCW devices are expected to be compatible with Verizon’s

network. The deal includes rights-of-way to CCW-owned towers, which should improve

Verizon’s coverage in the region. CCW, owned by Skyline Telephony and Surry Telephone,

had just under 70k subscribers as of 2015. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. (Source:

Zegona – In talks to refinance about €3bn of debt

Zegona is negotiating a refinancing that would affect about €3bn of debt, representing more

than 90% of its total debt at the end of its last fiscal year, Expansion reported. The report

said the company is seeking improved terms, including lower interest rates, with a target of

around €50m in annual interest savings. Expansion reported that the refinancing is expected

to be structured through three instruments, including a TLA, a TLB, and a bond issue. The
