We attended day one of NY Valves 2026 (previously TVT), where
incremental TAVR data continues to build clinical support for
transcatheter technology. Edward Lifesciences’ PARTNER 3 7-Year
durability data (link) took center stage, with TAVR and surgery
demonstrating “comparable and sustained valve durability” given low and Joanne WuenschAC
similar rates of structural valve deterioration (SVD), all-cause +1-212-816-9606

versus 5.5% Surgery) through 7 years. Medtronic’s Evolut also shared the

Other takeaways. Amongst the smorgasbord of real-world and RCT data presented
today, certain results were not as “clean”, with data from real-world trials showing
higher mortality risks and reintervention rates versus RCT trials, somewhat
contradicting established conclusions.
