VK3019 expands Viking's obesity pipeline. Earlier today, Viking announced the
initiation of a Ph1 single ascending dose (SAD) trial for VK3019, its investigational
dual amylin and calcitonin receptor agonist (DACRA) being developed for obesity
treatment, following FDA clearance of its IND application (press release). The
randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study will evaluate the safety,
tolerability, PK, and exploratory weight-loss effects of single SC doses in healthy
adults with obesity (BMI ≥30). Importantly, VK3019 represents a strategic expansion
