Each week, we collect airfares across 500+ of the largest domestic and +1-212-250-9254
international city pairs (ranked by ASMs) for the publicly traded US airlines using a
Shannon Doherty
program developed by Deutsche Bank’s Data Innovation Group (dbDIG). The dbDIG Research Analyst
fare data in this report is representative of the lowest available published fares for +1-212-250-5935
one-way travel on a walk-up basis (defined as fares published on Thursday of each

week for travel on Friday of the same week) and a 21-day advance purchase (21AP)

basis. The week-over-week and year-over-year comparisons are color-coded to
+1-212-250-9398
provide readers with a magnitude of the change (green reflects fare increases, red
reflects fare decreases). The markets' average is a straight average but week-over- Doug Runte, CFA
week and year-over-year changes exclude any "NA" fare comparisons. Also, be Research Analyst

aware that these fares are subject to inventory control and a published fare does not
necessarily constitute a purchased fare.
Notable observations in recent fare scrape data:
n Average walk-up domestic airfares for Friday, June 19 were mostly higher
week-over-week, except for Delta which was down 0.2% to $538 one-way.
Weekly fare gains ranged from +4.2% (Alaska, to $411 one-way) to +15.2%
(JetBlue, to $398 one-way). American (+12.4%, to $480 one-way) and
Allegiant (+13.9%, to $228 one-way) were the only other carriers up double-
digit.
