• French urban housing development slows: Housing remains a particular laggard
among France’s economic generators, with real estate and urban development growing
more slowly than the rest of the economy for the fourth consecutive year, according to
the latest barometer report from consulting firm Ernst Young and business foundation
Palladio. Analysts said real estate and development posted a 0.1% annual decline in
economic value contributed to the French economy in 2025, compared with annual
growth of 0.9% for the entire economy. Housing is where the most visible tensions are
concentrated. France produced only 276,000 housing units in 2025, a slight increase of
5.3% from 2024 but still half of the estimated need, according to the French government.

• Northwood buys multilet industrial estate duo for £25 million: Northwood Investors
has acquired two fully let multilet industrial estates in Stevenage and Banbury for c.
£25m. The assets comprise Motorway Industrial Estate (60,754 sq ft across six units let
to four tenants) and Network 11 Industrial Estate (98,654 sq ft across six units let to five
tenants), both benefiting from strong locations, diversified occupier bases and favourable
rental growth potential.The acquisitions reflect continued investor demand for multilet
industrial assets, supported by low vacancy rates, resilient tenant diversification and clear
rental growth prospects. Northwood highlighted opportunities to drive further value
