Jeff Vanderslice is Vice President of Policy Partnerships and Government Affairs at the R Street

Institute, where he leads engagement across policymakers and stakeholders. He previously served

as Senior Director of Federal Government Affairs at R Street. Prior to this, Jeff spent a decade on

Capitol Hill working for a former Member of Congress from California, including seven years as

Legislative Director covering a wide range of domestic policy issues such as energy, environment,

appropriations, and drug policy. He later spent nearly five years at the Cato Institute as Director

of Government and External Affairs, where he expanded the organization’s federal affairs strategy Aniket Shah, PhD * | Head of Sust. &
