capacity over the coming months, highlighting changes in flights and seat filipe.nielsen@citi.com

offerings on a weekly basis. This was another week with meaningful

capacity cuts by LATAM, throughout its entire network but mostly focused

on domestic SSC. Other carriers made only mild changes, as cuts

accumulated from previous weeks seem to have stabilized - especially

considering the declining oil price. More details are discussed below.

Copa — This week there were few adjustments, with 30 flights added in August

(which represents an increase of +1.0% w-o-w) connecting Florida and Central

America airports to the Panama City Hub. Planned capacity still reflects strong

growth in 2Q and 3Q.

LATAM Airlines — The company intensified last week’s net capacity cuts, especially

for 3Q. Adjustments in Brazil domestic looked more mild than last week, as available

seats offered decreased by -0.4% in July, -0.7% in August and -1.0% in September.

Cuts were most pronounced in domestic SSC markets, with significant reductions

of available seats and flights in July, August and September, from big hubs like

Santiago, Bogota and Lima. These changes reduced 3Q ASMs growth by almost -

2p.p., with available seats -2.8% lower in Colombia, -2.1% lower in Peru, -0.9%

lower in Chile and -0.2% lower in Ecuador. Meanwhile, international had slight cuts

mainly in August and September.
