According to MegaWhat, Aneel has scheduled for the public meeting on Tuesday,
June 16, the proposal for a normative resolution that creates criteria for generation
cuts, known as curtailment, and defines how the commercial effects of these
restrictions will be apportioned among generators. The vote was released by the
Federal Prosecutor's Office with the agency, which concluded that there was no
legal-formal impediment to the deliberation of Public Hearing No. 45/2019 (link)
Aneel raises forecast for average tariff increase to 8.6%, even with relief from
UBP
According to MegaWhat, Aneel revised the forecast for the average tariff effect in
Brazil in 2026 from 8.0% to 8.6%, even after incorporating into the calculation the
expected relief from the resources from the renegotiation of the Use of Public
Goods (UBP).
