highlighted its house broker FY26 PBT of £59m, down from the £66m expectation referenced in Barclays, UK
May (BBG consensus still at £70m). While management expects sales growth in FY27 to be
similar to FY26 and inflationary pressures to ease, we believe the shares may struggle to make
progress given the risk to LFLs from a pressured consumer backdrop, particularly following the
renewed Middle East conflict. Despite viewing JDW as one of the best-run companies in our
coverage universe, we see a difficult balance for management attempting to maintain both an
attractive investment case, and a compelling proposition for consumers, against a backdrop of
