Employment Cos. Survey Rises In Early July + Updates To Our Quarterly Questions

The latest Employment Cos. Survey shows a modest rise in employment indicators, reflecting cautious optimism as both temp

and perm placements improve. Recent trends indicate a slight uptick in overall employment activity, particularly from foreign firms

expanding in the U.S. Despite this, clients are still navigating headwinds from macroeconomic factors and ongoing caution in

hiring practices.

Survey Performance: The index improved from 50.2 to 50.5 in July, largely supported by temp employment, which rose slightly

from 55.5 to 55.7, while perm placements saw a small increase to 45.2. This might signal a readiness among companies to

cautiously expand their workforce as economic conditions stabilize, though full hiring confidence has yet to return.
