cases and broader enterprise adoption remain issues today. According to our CIO survey
only 22% of respondents are deploying fully autonomous AI (see: here). Partnerships
that increase the number of FDEs and give tech companies FDE scale are therefore
unsurprising, in our eyes. For MSFT specifically, the firm is increasingly positioning
itself as a neutral harness for various models, effectively the governance layer for AI
use. Additionally, for yrs, MSFT positioned itself against cloud hyperscaler competitors
as a neutral party, in that it would never compete directly against its end customers.
This benefited MSFT, especially for retailers customers like Walmart. We are seeing
a somewhat similar approach with AI, where MSFT is signaling to customers that
unlike some of the model providers where there is no guarantee that they will not
end up competing directly with end customers, MSFT will not compete directly with its
customers.
• Klaviyo Composer Enters Public Beta. On June 30th, Klaviyo announced that its flagship
AI offering, Composer (AI marketing agent) has entered public beta. Composer is designed
to identify ways to gain revenue, then builds cross-channel marketing campaigns (email,
text, etc.) to capture that revenue. Composer is designed to pair with KVYO's other AI
offering, Customer Agent (customer service AI offering), which is also getting multiple product
enhancements.
Thoughts. In both the press release and our 1x1 conversations with Klaviyo, the firm ◦Our
has emphasized that both Composer and the Customer Agent will work in tandem. When
the end customer calls a brand that uses KVYO's Customer Agent, the AI offering will
