Ministry of Health defines list of drugs eligible for confidential procurement:
BZ Ministry of Health has identified a list of medicines eligible for confidential
procurement, including oncology therapies that have already been
incorporated into SUS but are not yet available to patients. The confidential
pricing mechanism would be applied on a case-by-case basis, primarily for
ultra-high-cost therapies, enabling the government to negotiate undisclosed
prices with manufacturers, and also foster incorporation of new technologies.

COGN: New medical course in Campo Grande (MS) could raise competition
Santa Casa de Campo Grande has obtained Teaching Hospital certification, a
milestone that allows the institution to move forward with plans to establish its own
medical degree program. The accreditation paves the way for the launch of the
school’s first class, potentially in 2027, subject to the completion of the regulatory
approvals required by MEC. According to the institution, the goal is to complete the
approval process and hold its first admissions cycle in 2027.
