proposals for business model reforms centred on AI technology. The AI-related market is

growing rapidly and has many high-value-added products, and thus are likely to drive

profit margin expansion. In addition, we were deeply impressed that many tech

conglomerates are cutting payrolls and restraining payroll growth even though they are

generating profit, which is expected to underpin continued profit growth. Meanwhile, a

source of concern is the risk of a slowdown in growth in the domestic IT services

business, the so-called “end of SaaS.” We believe the likelihood that customers will start

in-house production is not as low as IT services companies claim.

Business where we sensed change: It is important to act quickly and decisively

As AI technology permeates society, business models are likely to be disrupted and

created. Whether each company will prosper or fail may be determined by whether it

can make swift management decisions while obtaining high-quality industry

information through large-scale M&A and stronger relationships with global AI players.

Business plans that include new content not previously discussed in the equity market

and that are likely to affect share prices are as follows: Fujitsu’s launch of a sovereign

platform, Mitsubishi Electric’s use of its ¥3.0trn growth investment framework,
