expansion to a more sustainable growth model, with spending increasingly driven by end

consumers rather than daigou activity, while travel retail is being repositioned as a customer

acquisition and brand-building platform. The report noted that several luxury brands, including

Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Celine, have reduced or exited airport locations in China as consumer

spending patterns shift, with operators and brands placing greater emphasis on experience,

lifestyle retail and tighter control over pricing and distribution.

Nike posts Q4 revenue ahead of expectations. Nike said on 30 June that fiscal fourth-quarter

revenue fell 1% to $11.0 billion, with wholesale sales rising 4% and direct-to-consumer revenue

declining 7%, while full-year revenue was flat at $46.4 billion. Gross margin expanded 890 basis

points to 49.2% and diluted EPS rose to $0.72, helped by an approximately $986 million

recovery of International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) tariffs, which contributed

around $0.52 per share. Management said the company continues to face top-line pressure and

weak sell-through conditions but highlighted progress in performance products, marketplace

elevation and cost discipline, with North America growth partly offsetting declines in Greater

China and EMEA.

Armani Reviews Growth Strategy Ahead of Planned Stake Sale. Giorgio Armani SpA is

working with Boston Consulting Group on a growth plan ahead of a potential sale of a 15%

stake expected to begin in September, Bloomberg reported yesterday. According to people
