opportunity to improve survival now lies upstream - identifying patients earlier and ensuring

clinical deterioration. Two complementary initiatives demonstrated how systematic quality
improvement and electronic health record (EHR)-based automation can meaningfully reduce
longstanding gaps in diagnosis, referral, and treatment. If these dynamics continue to
improve, TAVR market growth could be impacted positively.
The first presentation detailed the rapid expansion of the American Heart Association's Target
AS Registry, which is establishing national benchmarks for the quality of severe AS diagnosis
and management before valve intervention.
