the BoJ’s Rate Hike Stance
Given solid business conditions DIs and rise in firms’ five-year
ahead inflation expectations, June Tankan is overall consistent
with the BoJ’s rate-hike stance. That said, some points of caution
remain, e.g., risk of a payback from front-loaded demand and
weak capex plans among small non-manufacturers.
