increases (leading to unit downsides). Notably, SSG is seeing higher

customer interest in this environment, as end-customers appear to prefer

more predictable, consumption-based cost models—potentially a tailwind

for TruScale and broader services attach.

• Liquid cooling to differentiate Lenovo server product offering. Lenovo

has delivered strong liquid cooling revenue growth in the past few quarters

(multiple times of growth) and expects the momentum to sustain in the

future. Neptune liquid cooling was repeatedly positioned as a key

differentiator for Lenovo’s AI servers, supported by strong IP base (mgmt

cited 4,000+ patents) and long operating history (legacy from IBM systems).

Management emphasized maturity of the platform, framing liquid cooling as

both a performance and TCO advantage vs peers sourcing more of the stack.

Of note, the company has >11k Neptune direct liquid-cooled manufacturing

capacity on an annual basis (vs. 70k+ total server/storage rack capacity).

• Hybrid/Edge AI deployment creates cost incentives for agentic and

inference AI workloads. Lenovo provides full stack hybrid AI platforms to

enterprise & SMB customers and believes on-premise servers/storage

provide better TCO for customers (e.g. lower cost of data transfer and

storage, lower token costs) in terms of running AI inference workloads.

Similarly, management believes PC consumers would choose a more

powerful AI PC with locally run LLMs for cheaper token costs to run

agentic AI workloads. Overall, Lenovo expects its large PC installed base

and ISG/SSG’s hardware/software synergies to create a moat versus other

peers.
