ITV (Hold, last close: 79.90p): Reuters reports Sky has agreed terms to acquire

ITV's Broadcast business for potentially GBP1.6bn (which represents a slight

upside to our SOTP valuation); deal could be announced in the next two weeks as Gareth Davies

per sources. Overnight, Reuters reported that Sky (100%-owned by US media Research Analyst

group Comcast) has agreed terms to acquire ITV's broadcast and streaming unit. +44-20-754-11560

The news agency added that the deal could potentially value ITV’s Media & Steve Liechti

Entertainment (M&E) business at GBP1.6bn (this was already reported by the Research Analyst

media last November) and is currently being finalized by lawyers, citing +44-20-7541-1549

unconfirmed sources. The proposed transaction value is expected to include ITV Annabel Hames

Studios acquiring Sky's Love Productions (the producer of "The Piano"), which is Research Analyst

valued between GBP80-120m based on comparable deals and will have an earn-out +44-20-754-11574

component. Reuters reported that the proposed announcement could be made in Tarun Mittal

the next two weeks, though timing could slip due to legal complexities.
