In this note, we are summarizing the key takeaways from energy storage
presentations, conversations with industry experts (CRU Group, iLi Markets, House
Mountain) and Management teams, including Pilbara Minerals, Elevra Lithium
Standard Lithium.
n High focus on Energy Storage during Day 2 of the Fastmarkets
conference, where we saw some interesting industry cross-over including
solar, alternative energy, data centers and AI.
n Players are highly enthusiastic and optimistic about the Energy Storage
growth prospects, with many mentioning Energy Storage demand is
where EVs demand was 3-5 years ago.
n However, despite that high focus on Energy Storage and positive
discussions, we walk away with a lack of tangible shared growth numbers
in our opinion, demonstrating the novelty of the topic for the lithium
industry.
n It is a positive to see an increased diversified demand for lithium, as this
has highly been focused on EVs in the last few years.
n Focus has also been on bringing a spot trading market to the lithium
industry, as Fastmarkets announced such a platform will be coming online
