A positive step for U.S. nuclear
DOE states the loans could accelerate build timelines by up to 3 years with
Westinghouse committing to fixed-price contracts to mitigate equipment cost inflation.
Westinghouse and its partner for each project will have to commit $500mn each ($1bn
total) of upfront equity capital before accessing DOE funds.
