The Data Center boom has brought insurance demand that the market was never
built to handle; as the AI driven frenzy for more capacity has hyperscalers ramping up
project volumes, individual projects can reach $20bn-$30bn in insurable values (as
detailed in an April report by S&P Global). The largest data center insurance facilities
such as AON's $3.5bn Datacenter Lifecycle Program, WTW's $3bn for hyperscaler Tracy Benguigui

concentration risk associated with these projects. Data centers present a full gambet 646-419-2562
of risks including business interruption, commercial property damage, environmental
liability (significant water and power needed for cooling data centers), and cyber
risk. The top 4/5 hyperscalers collective market cap is multiples ahead of the P&C
Insurance industry capacity. Likewise, we think brokers are overhyping the growth
potential, that while strong, it is more of a fees business (vs commissions) on related
placements, capping the upside.
Structural Limitations: This structural disconnect manifests in two ways: firstly, the
uninsured risk is ultimately assumed by the hyperscalers themselves and in turn their
sponsor or developer either directly through self-captives or implicitly retained in
