Trump Invokes Defense Production Act 22 June 2026

Bloomberg (BBG) reported that Trump invoked the Defense Production Act (DPA) to High Grade Credit

bolster weapons delivery. BBG stated that Trump cited “systemic constraints in the United States

munitions industrial base” in an order for Defense Secretary Hegseth to make “voluntary Aerospace/Defense, Autos, Capital

agreements and plans of action.” BBG noted that while this didn’t detail how those Goods, Transportation

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that General Motors (GM) is in talks with Research Analyst

Lockheed Martin (LMT) about making parts for LMT's weapons. WSJ stated that under BofASsomaia.barakah@bofa.com

the arrangement, GM would manufacture commonly used parts that could help LMT Shane Steinlauf

bolster munitions production. We would like to note that this is just a memorandum of Research Analyst
