from Florida. However, on the 1Q26 call the main driver came from strong growth in

California and Texas. The geographic diversification from within the Global Housing

segment has been meaningfully positive. Overall, this diversification helps to reduce

dependance on any given market in which AIZ is currently active.

1. Catastrophe Exposure in Global Housing Causes Earnings Volatility. While 1Q26

benefited from significantly lower cat losses ($24M vs. $157M in 1Q25), AIZ's full-year cat

assumption is $185M. A more active hurricane season or elevated weather events could

meaningfully pressure Global Housing results and create quarter-to-quarter earnings

volatility that is difficult to model.

2. Prior Year Reserve Development Headwind Creates a Difficult Comp. Management

guided to full-year 2026 adjusted EBITDA and EPS growth of only low single digits,

explicitly citing $94M of lower favorable prior year reserve development (vs. $113M in

2025). Excluding this headwind, underlying growth is high single digits, but the optics of
