Weekly Bank Briefing (6/21/26). Loans increased for the 18th week in 21 to a record high while
deposits rose for the 16th week in 20 putting both up ~2% QTD on an average basis. Loans rose
7.7% y-o-y, its fastest past in more than 3 years. Trading (up 8-18%) and investment banking
(10-20%) revenues are both tracking higher y-o-y.

Chart of the Day. Wednesday after the close, the Fed will announce the results of its annual
bank stress test though this year’s results will not impact large bank capital requirements. This
follows the Fed’s February announcement that it would maintain the current stress test capital
buffer requirements until 2027, when new requirements can be calculated based on loss-
estimating models that take public feedback into consideration. In addition, bank regulators are
in the process of changing the calculation of RWA and the GSIB surcharge. Nevertheless, we still
expect investors to monitor each bank’s stress capital buffer (SCB). Today’s Chart of the Day
includes our expectations. On Wednesday night one simply has to input the minimum projected
