TD Cowen Hospital Summit: MedTech Perspectives on Volumes, CapEx, Robots & More

ions with hospital executives provided

a favorable outlook for both the Structural Heart and Electrophysiology markets. Notably,

panelists did not identify capacity constraints as a current headwind, and one executive

highlighted proactive investments in additional cath labs, EP labs, operating rooms, and

ambulatory surgery centers to accommodate anticipated growth in cardiovascular procedure

volumes before bottlenecks emerge. Cardiovascular therapies remain strategic priorities for

health systems, with adoption decisions driven primarily by physician preference, clinical

outcomes, and procedural efficiency rather than product cost. In Structural Heart, this

dynamic supports the major TAVR, mitral and tricuspid players (EW, MDT, ABT) as hospitals

remain focused on delivering optimal patient outcomes and driving procedure volume growth

rather than pursuing incremental product savings. In Electrophysiology, we believe ongoing

investments in cardiovascular-focused ASC expansion are encouraging, as they should

increase procedural capacity and help sustain robust atrial fibrillation ablation volume growth

over time. The migration of AF ablation procedures into the ASC setting, enabled by pulsed

field ablation's improved safety profile and removal from the inpatient only list, should further

expand access, unlock incremental capacity, and support solid double-digit volume growth

across the electrophysiology market for years to come.
