Alek Ledvina We hosted MTX today at the Truist Securities Industrials & Services Conference. Our
404-439-7399 takeaways from today's meetings:
Alek.Ledvina@truist.com • Portfolio continuing to diversify away from cyclical markets with a multitude of
growth opportunities. MTX targets organic sales growth of 4-6% over the long term,
noting that innovation and new business wins will be key to achieving this target.
Diversification away from the company's historically cyclical end markets has been
Current Price (Jun. 16, $78.02 supported by growth in its consumer-oriented businesses (particularly within H&PC) as 2026)
well as increased offerings of technology and service-based offerings in its industrial
Stock Rating BUY businesses (such as Minscan). MTX also noted that its growth vectors tend to be margin
Unchanged accretive; we believe there is likely upside to the company's 15% operating margin target
beyond 2027.
Price Target $90.00 • Progressing with margin recovery from near-term cost headwinds. MTX continues Unchanged to expect that following near-term cost pressure related to the Middle East conflict (which
the company previously sized at ~$3M for 2Q), pricing actions will catch up with costs in
3Q. Major categories of inflation include direct energy usage, as well as freight and fuel;
the company has implemented some surcharges for freight and fuel particularly in the 4 Page Document
H&PC and Specialty Additives businesses.
