Pru: There was no specific comment on HK insurance at the forum; however, broader +44-20-7567 3505

cross-border financial activities were discussed. SAFE vowed to advance opening-up

within risk guardrails (e.g. expanding QDII quota). CSRC would combat illegal cross-

border security trading activities, while supporting the compliant ones. The authority

pledged to strengthen cross-border supervisory coordination, and information sharing.

This aligns with HKIA's remarks on 15-Jun, emphasizing that funds must flow through

legitimate channels. Beyond the cross-border issues, HKIA also signalled enforcement

against breaches of three new regulations announced in 2025 (i.e. illustration rate cap,

referral fee cap, and commission deferral).
