• Following last week's release of its Fable 5 / Mythos model, Anthropic has disabled

customer access to its new model following an order from the US government to

suspend the model use from all foreign nationals, citing national security issues

following the US government's awareness of a jailbreaking method of the model.

• We would note comments David Sacks, Co-Chair, President's Council of Advisers

on Science & Technology, noting the US administration does believe the jailbreak is

serious, and the admin wants the export control to be lifted upon cooperation of

patching the safety issue.

• Anthropic has disagreed with the reported jailbreak as a cause for recalling the model,

and noted the vulnerabilities listed are all relatively simple and have been found as

possible using other publicly available models as well.
