RDx Day: PSMA PET Growth to Continue; LNTH

Share Leadership Unch

We hosted Dr. Shawn Zimberg, a Radiation Oncologist and National Director of

Rad Onc at The Specialty Alliance (formerly Solaris Partners). Key Takes: PSMA

PET is driving rapid PET CT buildout and becoming core to prostate cancer

staging and treatment, with broader adoption ahead; LNTH remains the tracer

of choice; Pluvicto move to pre-chemo increased referrals ~3-4x but not driving

scan growth; PSMA alpha therapies (Actinium) potential next leg of innovation.

Dr. Zimberg's network has built a vertically integrated urology platform treating tens of

thousands of patients, with PSMA PET as the foundation of care across disease stages. He sees

prostate cancer management evolving toward a breast cancer–like model, with increasing use of

advanced imaging to better stage, monitor, and guide treatment decisions over time.

His network is rapidly scaling PET CT capacity, and has almost entirely displaced historically

used CT and bone scans. Dr. Zimberg views his system as an earlier adopter of this model but

believes eventually all treatment will become this dominant on PSMA PET. While patients still

receive MRI fusion for disease staging, a PET scan is required for staging of disease.

While PSMA PET has become the standard of care for local high-risk and metastatic disease, Dr.

Zimberg is seeing expansion into lower-risk patients with additional clinical segmentation (genomic

flags, etc), and sees this as another leg of growth for PSMA PET.

By tracers, Dr. Zimberg's system exclusively uses Pylarify in the NY area and believes LNTH
