Overall card spending was up 5.1% in May 11 June 2026

Total card spending per HH, as measured by BAC aggregated credit and debit cards, was Equity

up 5.1% y/y in May. On a m/m SA basis, BAC card spending per HH increased by 0.1%. See United States

Home improvement declined slightly in May

May spending at home improvement retailers (a proxy for DIY spending) decreased (1%)

YoY (+9% from May 2019) vs. April’s (1%) decline. Spending on housing-related services (a

proxy for pro contractor spending) increased 2% YoY (+46% from May 2019), decelerating

from +4% in April. Roofing sales continue to decline meaningfully against strong comps
