We held an expert call with Shawn Asadi, Founder and CEO at Elevon Capital +1-212-713 3089
Group. Shawn has spent over 20 years in the automotive space between retail and
Robert Saltzman
SaaS. Most recently he worked for Tekion, where he advised them on the building out
the product. See here a link to the the replay of our call. Our key takeaways are as follow: robert.saltzman@ubs.com
+1-212-713 2992 Shawn highlighted Lithia (LAD) as on of the leaders among the public dealerships
when it comes to AI through their work with Pinewood. Althought he did Alejandro Nuno
highlight that the large public dealerships are very rigid, and therefore lag behind Associate Analyst
some of the smaller non-public groups when it comes to incorporating AI. Shawn alejandro.nuno@ubs.com
+1-212-713 3886 highlighted that he is aware of some small non-public dealership groups that are
building internal AI agents and injecting those into the daily workflows of their Gabriel Gonzales, CFA
dealerships. Associate Analyst

Shawn believes that dealerships can likely experience 15-20% efficiency gains via +1-212-713 4866
AI adoption. Cost reduction is more difficult to measure given more unknowns but
he does see the potential for impact to staff from AI as likely fairly soon, potentially
in 1-1.5 years.
He expects to see a reduction of staff at the dealership, beginning with BDCs
(business development centers), both on the sales and on the service side. Next on
the list would be on the accounting side.
