Industry’s operating cost/t fell marginally by c1% q-q in 4QFY26 (up c3% y-y), despite operating
leverage, reflecting a partial impact from higher packaging and raw-material prices. Still, industry
fared better than street expectations on P&F - despite steep surge in pet coke prices - aided by fuel
optimisation, low input cost inventory and higher green energy mix. Overall, EBITDA/t was cINR885/t
(down cINR70/t y-y). The industry’s capacity has crossed 700MTPA in FY26, with further c115MTPA
slated over the next 2-3 yrs. ACEM’s recalibration of aggressive capacity expansion seems promising
