Cantor's AI Infra Weekly Recap
AI Infrastructure
EQUITY RESEARCH Industry Report
June 7, 2026
Research Analysts:
The large market sell-off on Friday put an end to what was a several-week winning Brett Knoblauch, CFA
212-610-2221 streak. Friday's weakness was driven by a strong US jobs report (and upwards revisions
Brett.Knoblauch@cantor.com to past reports), which sent bond yields higher, as well as some concern surrounding
Gareth Gacetta valuations of AI-related companies. The average company in our AI infra sector
212-915-1251
finished the week down 9% (vs SPY down 2.5%), which effectively erased gains from Gareth.Gacetta@cantor.com
the prior week. Nathan Frankovitz

NY Data Center Moratorium. The New York State Assembly voted on and passed
a one-year data center moratorium. The legislation, sponsored by Senator Kristen
Gonzalez and Assembly member, Didi Barret, who is chair of the energy committee,
would give the state time to properly put in place rules and procedures to help protect
the grid and limit any potential price increase to consumers. This would be the first
state-wide ban, as so far we have only seen counties put in place moratoriums. For this
to go into effect, Governor Kathy Hochul would need to sign it into law, but our read
is that current expectations are that this bill would be struck down by the Governor.
HIVE (Earnings Recap). HIVE reported 4Q26 results on 6/2. The highlight of the
print was management's increased focus on AI/HPC. It is no longer looking to grow
