PFE underlined its commercial prowess in the PCP setting, which we'd agree with given its success with Lipitor,
Viagra, Prevnar & Eliquis. It laid out details on commercial rollout, emphasized its COGS advantage, and drove
home berobenatide's efficacy & tolerability profile.
Pfizer Pflash highlighted its competitiveness against current market leaders given berobenatide's profile and the
company's leading primary care commercial team. There were three main points highlighted during the Pfizer Pflash
that we think the company tried to drive home as reasons why it might be able to differentiate itself on the market when
berobenatide (and earlier stage Metsera offerings) potentially receive approval.
1. Pfizer's primary care sales force. PFE highlighted its #1 ranking per IQVIA's sales force rankings, which it has
maintained for seven consecutive years. Upon approval, the company looks to leverage a direct-to-consumer e-
commerce model as soon as Day 1, be competitive in the cash-pay market, and bring forth a commercial model that
revolves around persistence (i.e., not just therapy starts). The company further highlighted its prior successes competing
in the primary care market in areas such as statins, pneumococcal vaccines, and migraine, where it wasn't always first to
market. On advertising, too, PFE has demonstrated its edge by looking at their ROI which is double that of its benchmarks.
Finally, PFE's relationships with primary care prescribers are deep given that the tenure of the company's field reps is
