This morning, Bloomberg reported that China is preparing to spend around CNY2trillion
(~$300bn) over the next 5 years on building out datacenters domestically. The
unconfirmed article says that state firms will operate the majority of these new datacenters, and
will rely on local suppliers, for instance for ~80% of the chips. For our broader perspectives on
