Derivatives announced plans to launch the first perpetual-style equity index futures listed

on a U.S.-regulated exchange beginning June 8, extending the perpetual futures structure

commonly used in crypto markets into regulated equity derivatives. The initial launch will

include four cash-settled thematic equity index contracts tied to AI, China, defense, and top

Nasdaq companies, with dynamic funding-rate mechanisms designed to keep futures prices

aligned with underlying indexes. Coinbase stated the products are intended to provide capital-

efficient, around-the-clock thematic equity exposure within a CFTC-regulated framework,

offering an alternative to combining ETFs, options, and traditional futures to replicate similar
