Current treatment dynamics - Bayer's Nubeqa is gaining meaningful share

●ARPIs (androgen receptor pathway inhibitors) will remain an important

target for the foreseeable future across different stages of prostate

cancer. Most newer agents are also being combined with ARPIs.

●ARPI use in earlier lines of therapy continues to increase significantly

in KOLs’ practice, and very few mCRPC (castration-resistant prostate

cancer) patients now have no prior ARPI exposure.

●Darolutamide (Nubeqa; Bayer) is gaining significant market share in

the hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (HSPC) setting among both

urologists and medical oncologists due to its better safety profile.

○Darolutamide has low blood-brain barrier penetration and

limited potential for drug-drug interactions, which may be

advantageous for the metastatic HSPC population, given age-

related comorbidities and polypharmacy requirements.
