US Beverages "Takeaways From Beer Distributor Expert Call" Grom

Beneficiaries From world cup. From a brand perspective, the expert believes

STZ and ABI are positioned to benefit ahead of the world cup. STZ benefits

from its Mexican demographic, which positions brands like Modelo Especial

and Corona as natural fits for soccer-related occasions. ABI, also benefits from

their robust marketing and willingness to invest heavily behind its brands. TAP

is also positioned to benefit, particularly with Coors Light and its world cup-

related marketing efforts, though it remains a step behind STZ and ABI in terms

of overall marketing effectiveness and brand momentum according to the

expert.

Shelf Space Dynamics. Shelf space is increasingly being carved out to

accommodate new entrants and growth brands, such as the recent Yuengling

launch, which has taken 2–4% of space and driven a natural trimming of

domestic light offerings. Within the remaining set, FMBs are contracting

following the broader seltzer shakeout, with brands like Truly and White Claw

stabilizing but no longer expanding. In contrast, RTDs are steadily gaining share

of shelf, taking incremental space from FMBs as consumer interest shifts

toward spirits-based alternatives.

Competitive Pressures Mount on TAP's Portfolio. The expert commented

that while TAP is showing signs of stabilization, performance across Miller Lite

remains under pressure with Coors Light stabilizing/improving. At the same

time, competitive pressures from Yuengling are creating incremental

headwinds, especially as almost ~70% of TAP's brands interact with the brand.

As such, the expert believes that TAP's net sales guidance is likely aspirational,

especially as competitive pressures mount.

STZ Growth Driven By Broader Portfolio.
