SpaceX successfully launches Starship V3 super heavy rocket, expected to accelerate
development of LEO industry, we adopt positive outlook on future performance of
related supply chain
1. SpaceX successfully launches Starship V3 super heavy rocket, achieving key
milestone.
2. Future commercial launch cost per kg for Starship expected to drop significantly to
below US$200.
3. We favor stocks such as Compeq (2313 TT) and Win Semi (3105 TT).

On May 22, SpaceX successfully launched the third-generation upgraded ‘Starship V3’
super heavy rocket at the Starbase in Texas. The Starship V3 rocket is equipped with six
‘Raptor 3’ engines, three of which are optimized for operation in a vacuum environment;
although one engine shut down early during ascent to space, the remaining five engines
operated longer than originally planned to compensate for the early shutdown, ultimately
allowing the rocket to reach an acceptable suborbital trajectory and perform well in space.
The rocket released 22 Starlink network satellite simulators from the launcher, two of
which were equipped with cameras to transmit images of the Starship. This test flight not
only verified the full-range performance of the new generation engines, but although the
booster lost control and did not land in the Gulf of Mexico as planned, it still successfully
splashed down in the Indian Ocean, marking the achievement of a significant milestone
for this launch.
