Caixin, May 21: China’s urban surveyed unemployment rate edged down to 5.2% in
April from the previous month, though it remained slightly higher than a year earlier.
Jobless rates also eased across age groups, suggesting some moderation after a recent
rise. The unemployment rate for people aged 16 to 24 fell 0.6ppt from March to 16.3%.
