the deep-sea equipment industry by fostering high-end marine engineering equipment

and specialized vessel manufacturing, with targets of annual growth of 20% of deep-sea

equipment industry and deep-sea industry market size to hit RMB100bn.

Solar: Jinko sells 75% of US plant for US$192mn

On 8 May, Jinko Solar announced that its wholly owned subsidiary plans to sell 75.1%

stake in its US manufacturing factory to FH JKV Holdings for about US$191.5mn. The

underlying asset is a completed and operational 2GW solar module factory in the US,

which also includes energy storage business development. After the transaction, FH will

become the controlling shareholder with 75.1% ownership, while Jinko will retain a

24.9% stake and the entity will no longer be consolidated into its financial statements.

The deal price represents a premium over the book value of the equity and will be paid in

three installments. The first payment accounts for 51% of the total consideration and is

required for deal closing. Jinko believes the transaction will comply with US local

manufacturing regulations. The agreement allows the factory to continue selling

products under the Jinko Solar brand after the transaction. The transaction is a part of
