Truist Securities Commentary: Based on our conversations with industry stakeholders, we understand that IQVIA is
pursuing three primary monetization pathways for its AI capabilities. First, AI is embedded within its FSO offering,
where it enhances efficiency and differentiation without being sold as a standalone product. Second, the company is
extending AI agents into functional service provider (FSP) relationships, enabling modular deployment tailored to
specific client functions such as data management. Third, IQVIA is offering bespoke consulting services, helping large
pharma clients design and build custom AI agents within their own environments. Together, these models expand AI
monetization across both services and technology layers. Separately, IQVIA is actively evaluating multiple pricing
approaches, including per-seat, usage-based, token-linked, and tiered subscription models.
AI Platform Risk, Data Ownership, and Healthcare-Specific Barriers
On the topic of Anthropic (private) and potential disruption risks, IQVIA reiterated that it has not lost any business to
Claude or other AI solutions and noted that it has, in fact, gained business on the commercial side through the sale of
