Our view

What are the most material Throughout the years, BTB has undertaken numerous projects aimed at becoming

sustainability issues facing the REIT? a more environmentally, and socially responsible organization. Today, the REIT’s

areas of focus extend across the sustainability spectrum and include E) energy,

water and waste, climate change, green building certifications, and biodiversity S)

employee engagement and development, diversity, equity and inclusion, and client

and community engagement; and G) ethics and compliance, risk management, and

cybersecurity.

Does the Trust integrate In 2023, BTB developed a roadmap to meet four key sustainability goals over

sustainability considerations into its the next three years. These goals include formalizing and integrating sustainability

strategy? considerations across business lines, increasing sustainability measurement and

data, advancing towards alignment with key standards (including the Task Force

on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and Sustainability Accounting Standards

Board), and communicating progress on these goals to stakeholders regularly.

On the environmental front, BTB has actively undertaken LED retrofits and the

installation of white roofs and of charging stations for electric vehicles in its indoor

and outdoor parking lots.
