features at speed. During COVID, for example, Whoop collected data, tracking 2,000

COVID-positive users starting from March of 2020, and published peer-reviewed

findings by June 2020, and deployed a corresponding product feature by September

2020. In longevity research, the company analyzed over 100 physiological variables,

ultimately identifying nine key indicators most associated with mortality risk, which now

underpin its health span and biological age features.

Global Expansion and Market Penetration

Whoop has rapidly transitioned from a U.S.-centric business to a globally diversified

platform, now selling in approximately 56 countries and supporting members across

more than 200 countries worldwide. International markets represent a majority of

activity, with approximately 60% of total sales generated outside the United States,

highlighting strong global demand. Notably, management indicated consistent

engagement, retention, and consistent pricing/demand indicators across geographies,

suggesting that the product’s value proposition translates effectively across markets.

Healthcare Integration and Industry Context

The long-term opportunity for Whoop is enhancing preventative care with a

personalized approach. U.S. healthcare spending reached approximately $4.6 trillion

annually, yet remains largely reactive rather than preventative. Management sees

continuous health monitoring as a key mechanism to shift care upstream, reducing

long-term costs and improving outcomes. Early validation of this is emerging through

regulatory pathways, including Whoop’s acceptance into Medicare’s ACCESS program,

with reimbursement availability expected to begin in July.
