sam.wardlow@evercoreisi.com As we reflected on the conference and the alts’ bumpy start to

the year, we’ve gotten the sense that most people have done

their homework & get the modest P&L impact from redemptions,

run multiple “BDC burndown scenarios”, and hopefully become

a bit numb to private credit headlines. While it won’t be all

smooth sailing, it feels like people are beginning to remember

that the private markets growth story is multifaceted and isn’t

going away anytime soon with ~86% of large companies

continuing to get financed by the private markets. We thought

the conference did a great job presenting both perspectives, with

the headwinds conversations covering the ongoing wealth

channel redemptions in direct lending, continued LP liquidity

needs, SaaSpocalypse, & challenged fundraising. All that was

juxtaposed against strong secondaries tailwinds, institutional
