Valuation Method and Risk Statement
We value Rohto using a forward price to earnings multiple applied to consumer health
earnings.
Upside risks include: Rohto’s upside potential lies in strong execution across its consumer
healthcare R&D pipeline for innovative products. Successful launches in these segments could

therapeutic areas would add incremental upside, particularly if supported by stable pricing
and favorable reimbursement policies. Innovation in consumer health, including OTC and
cosmetic products, could further diversify earnings streams. Operational efficiency initiatives,
such as supply chain optimization and cost control, may also contribute to margin expansion,
amplifying overall performance.
Donwnside risks include: (1) sales and margin contraction due to market slowdown and
intensified competition; (2) underperformance of Japan and Asia growth or gross margin mix;
(3) competition in CDMO and tool initiatives; (4) potential manufacturing issues; (5) adoption
