Reminder: Expert Access: Barclays: Cleared for Take Off? Jet Fuel supply and policy debate as geopolitics evolve
Event Description
We are pleased to host an expert call with the very aptly named Thorsten Luft, Jet fuel
and SAF Consultant, with 9 years' prior experience in fuel procurement, latterly as VP
Strategic Fuel Management at Lufthansa, preceded by 20 years experience at airBP.

fuel supply, taking into account various potential scenarios around the reopening of the
Strait of Hormuz. Even if the Strait does reopen in the period running up to the call, the
time lag for tankers to reach Europe means there is a period of jeopardy for fuel supplies in
the early summer.
We will discuss the availability of fuel in the different potential geopolitical scenarios and
will focus on the policy debate in aviation relating to both potential kerosene shortages
and SAF.
