WAL highlighted its industry expertise, credit underwriting,
and long-term track record of outperformance on growth and WAL OVERWEIGHT
U.S. Mid-Cap Banks POSITIVE
profitability. Medium-term targets seem achievable and could Price Target USD 88.00

Summary: WAL has one of the more complex business models of the mid-cap banks group and
we think the investor day did a good job illustrating the unique tailwinds that have driven peer-
leading growth for much of the past 10-15 years. We come away feeling better about the long- U.S. Mid-Cap Banks
