Petrobras announced that the FPSO Almirante Tamandaré, operating in the Búzios field, Santos Basin, reached a record instantaneous production of 270,000 barrels of oil per day on October 25, exceeding its nominal capacity of 225,000 bpd. On October 9, daily production surpassed 250,000 barrels for the first time. The platform, chartered from SBM Offshore, is designed to allow output up to 270,000 bpd at certain times. This is part of efficiency-driven production increases, complying with safety protocols and regulatory approvals. The Búzios 7 Project, including the platform and subsea infrastructure, will help the field reach 1 million bpd by year-end and become Petrobras' largest production field.
